To enjoy your spare time while learning Spanish in Spain

We recommend a series of visits that will allow you to get to know the history, culture and art of Alicante or Vitoria

You can sign up for these activities in the enrolment form itself or at the school reception desk.

Alicante

Castle, Churches, Monasteries, Museums, Archaeological sites... and much more to see in Alicante during your stay learning Spanish language.

Besides the guided tour of the city on the first day of the course, Zador Spanish School organizes different cultural visits with your Spanish teachers to help you to know Alicante. Here you have a short description of some interesting places and monuments you will visit with your Spanish teachers.

Santa Barbara Castle - This is one of the Europe’s biggest medieval fortresses. It is located on the peak and hillside of the Benacantil Mountain, so, from its privileged position, you can see the entire Bay of Alicante.

Cathedral of San Nicolás - It was built throughout most of the 17th century over the remains of an old mosque, although it also preserves traces of a 15th century cloister. It is of late Renaissance style, and therefore, it is sober in its external aspect.

Asegurada Museum - This is the town's oldest preserved civil building. It was built in 1685 by the Municipal Council as a corn storehouse. However, throughout its life, it has been used for a variety of purposes: it became the Town Hall headquarters while the present one was under construction; it has been a prison and a storehouse for artillery during the Peninsula War, a secondary school, a business school…

Archaeology Museum - The Archaeology Museum is located in the old Hospital of San Juan de Dios, and its exhibits span the Paleolithic to the Modern Age, with a special emphasis on Iberian art.

Discover Alicante's past and origins, the legacy of the different civilizations that left their imprint on the province and its ways of life.

Vitoria

Medieval Quarter, Churches, Palaces, Monasteries, Museums, ... and much more to see in Vitoria during your stay learning Spanish.

Besides the guided tour of the city on the first day of the course, Zador Spanish School organizes different cultural visits with your Spanish teachers to help you to know Vitoria. Here you have a short description of some interesting places and monuments you will visit with your Spanish teachers.

Visit to the Old Cathedral of Santa María - The Old Cathedral of Vitoria is located in the upper side of the hill where the primitive village of Vitoria was first settled. The present city was built over this village, being a part of its walls. Today, the Cathedral is part of a complex system of restoration of the whole area, which allows us to see how a cathedral was originally built.

Visit to the Basque Museum of Contemporary Art - The ARTIUM is the Basque Museum of Contemporary Art Its objective is to promote modern art through its permanent collection, considered one of the best in Spain, and through temporary exhibitions. It organizes many didactic activities that allow you to get closer to the world of modern art: tours through the Museum guided by artists, film-forum, conferences...

Playing-cards Museum: cards, a game since the ancient time - Located in a restored palace, the Playing-Cards Museum is unique in Spain. It preserves and exhibits playing-cards collections from all over the world.

You can also enroll at Spanish school reception desk.
